Additional Inscriptions & Renovations

At Manx Memorials we are happy to quote for cleaning headstones, renewing concrete, re-gilding faded text and renewing chippings on a grave to bring the graves back to a bright finish. We are also able to quote for adding inscriptions onto existing headstones for additional family members. Sometimes there is not enough room on the headstone for extra names and we are happy to discuss alternatives such as the addition of an engraved plaque or book memorial for a kerbed grave, or a raised plinth with room for an inscription on which to sit the existing memorial. 

We will always visit the grave before giving a quotation for the work but this will be itemised and we are happy to discuss any alternatives. It is useful for you to provide us with a photograph of the stone and clear directions, or to agree to meet us at the churchyard to show us the family grave.

We will apply for permission from the Church Authorities on your behalf prior to doing any work, and will give you an estimate of the time it will take to complete. Additional inscriptions will usually be completed within a couple of weeks of receipt of permission unless we need to order in specially shaped stones.
